About the Role

Our client is looking for a customer-focused and organized Automotive Service Advisor to join their dynamic dealership in Portsmouth . This role is the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for service or repair, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, accurately recording service requirements, advising on work to be carried out, and keeping customers informed throughout the process. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for the automotive industry, contributing to a high-performing service department.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally, understanding their vehicle service or repair needs.
• Accurately record customer requests and vehicle details into the workshop management system.
• Advise customers on the scope of work, potential costs, and estimated completion times.
• Book vehicles into the workshop schedule efficiently, coordinating with technicians.
• Keep customers updated on the progress of their vehicle's service or repair.
• Process invoices and payments accurately at the point of service completion.
• Promote additional services and products where appropriate.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the automotive sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using computer systems, including workshop management software.
• A customer-centric attitude with a commitment to providing excellent service.
• A valid UK driving license is advantageous.
