Band 6 Occupational Therapist (Respiratory Team)

Job Description We are currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a Respiratory Team within a leading London NHS Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for an OT with strong NHS experience and a background in respiratory, critical care, or acute medicine settings.

Role Details

Location: Charing Cross Hospital, London Start Date: 01/11/2026 Contract Length: Expected until January 2027 (subject to service requirement) Working Pattern: Monday to Friday Operational Hours: 08:30 - 16:30 Hours: 7.5 hours per day (30-minute unpaid lunch break) Band: Band 6 Occupational Therapist Speciality: Respiratory Team

Key Responsibilities

Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment within the Respiratory Team Manage a caseload of patients with respiratory and complex medical conditions Support patient rehabilitation, discharge planning, and functional assessments Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service delivery objectives

Requirements

HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist Previous NHS experience working at Band 6 level Experience within Respiratory, Critical Care, or Acute Medicine settings Strong assessment, treatment planning, and discharge planning skills Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team working abilities If you are an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for your next NHS locum opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
