About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and customer-focused Banqueting Manager to lead their banquet and events operations at their premier venue in Nottingham . You will be responsible for overseeing the seamless execution of all catered events, from intimate dinners to large-scale conferences and weddings. This role requires a strong leader with a passion for delivering exceptional culinary and service experiences, ensuring client satisfaction and maximizing revenue opportunities. You will play a key part in maintaining the venue's reputation for excellence in event hosting across Nottinghamshire.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of banqueting and events operations, ensuring high standards of service and presentation.
Coordinate closely with clients, chefs, and service staff to plan and execute successful events.
Develop and manage event menus, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to dietary requirements.
Supervise and train banqueting staff, fostering a professional and efficient team.
Control costs, manage inventory, and ensure profitability of all banqueting functions.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the banqueting department.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in banqueting or events management within the hospitality industry.
Proven experience in managing large-scale events and client relations.
Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, menu planning, and event logistics.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Experience with event planning software and POS systems is an advantage.
