About the Role
Our client, a progressive architectural practice situated in the heart of Milton Keynes , is seeking a highly skilled BIM Coordinator to enhance their Building Information Modeling capabilities. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing and implementing BIM processes across a variety of exciting projects, ensuring adherence to BIM standards and protocols. You will work closely with architects, technologists, and external consultants to facilitate efficient information exchange and collaborative workflows, contributing to the successful delivery of complex schemes within Buckinghamshire and beyond. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the technological direction of the practice and work on innovative projects in a rapidly evolving field.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and workflows across all assigned projects.
- Manage and coordinate BIM models from multiple disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP), ensuring data integrity and clash detection.
- Provide technical support and training to project teams on BIM software and best practices.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between project stakeholders through the BIM environment.
- Conduct regular model audits to ensure compliance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the company's BIM content library.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator or in a similar BIM management role within an architectural or construction environment.
- In-depth knowledge and practical application of Revit and Navisworks, with experience in federated model coordination.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and their practical implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support diverse teams.
- Proficiency in quality control checks and clash detection processes.
- Relevant degree or technical qualification in a construction-related discipline.
