About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Biostatistician to join their biostatistics and data sciences team in Oxford . This hybrid role is instrumental in the design, analysis, and reporting of clinical trials, ensuring the statistical integrity of research findings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, data management, and regulatory affairs, to provide statistical expertise and support. This position offers a dynamic work environment with a blend of remote flexibility and on-site collaboration, crucial for advancing pharmaceutical research and bringing innovative treatments to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide statistical expertise in the design of clinical trials, including sample size calculations and protocol development.
- Develop Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) and perform statistical analyses of clinical trial data.
- Interpret statistical results and collaborate with other teams to translate findings into actionable insights.
- Prepare statistical sections of regulatory submissions and publications.
- Ensure adherence to statistical methodologies, regulatory guidelines, and company standards.
- Mentor junior statisticians and contribute to the development of statistical methodologies.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Demonstrated experience in statistical analysis of clinical trial data within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency in statistical software packages such as SAS, R, or Python.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, and data standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
