About the Role
Our client is looking for a diligent and organised Bookkeeper to manage the financial records for their business in Norwich . This role is key to maintaining accurate financial data, including managing ledgers, processing transactions, and preparing basic financial reports. You will work closely with the finance manager, ensuring that all bookkeeping activities are conducted with precision and in compliance with financial regulations, in a hybrid work setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers and journals.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accounted for.
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings.
- Manage petty cash and employee expense reimbursements.
- Generate basic financial reports for management review.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounts administration role.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
