About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and organised Bookkeeper to manage their financial records in Norwich . This role is essential for maintaining accurate day-to-day financial transactions, including managing ledgers, processing invoices, and reconciling accounts. You will be a key point of contact for financial queries within the organisation and ensure that all bookkeeping is conducted with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. This position is ideal for a dedicated bookkeeper looking to contribute to a stable and growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers for accounts payable and receivable.
- Process supplier invoices, staff expenses, and customer payments.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations regularly.
- Assist with the preparation of VAT returns and other tax documentation.
- Generate financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Manage petty cash and assist with other administrative finance tasks as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency with bookkeeping software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines in Norwich .
