Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective category strategies aligned with overall business objectives for the FMCG sector.
• Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor performance to identify growth opportunities and risks within the assigned category.
• Manage product assortment, pricing, promotions, and shelf space allocation to optimise category performance.
• Collaborate closely with the buying, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless category execution.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive category initiatives.
• Present category performance reviews and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Category Manager or in a similar commercial role within the FMCG or retail sector.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Excellent understanding of category management principles, retail operations, and consumer purchasing behaviour.
• Demonstrated success in driving category growth and profitability.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with category management software is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
