Chemical Process Development Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a talented Chemical Process Development Engineer for a fully remote position. You will be at the forefront of innovation, responsible for developing and optimizing new chemical processes from laboratory scale to pilot and commercial scale. This role requires a creative problem-solver with a strong background in R&D and process scale-up. You will collaborate closely with research scientists and other engineers to bring novel products and processes to life, working within a supportive virtual team structure. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and scale-up chemical processes from laboratory bench to pilot plant and commercial production.
• Conduct experimental design (DoE) and analyze results to improve process efficiency, yield, and purity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges encountered during process development and scale-up.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, process documentation, and recommendations for new technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in chemical process development.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in process development, scale-up, and optimization.
• Proven experience with experimental design (DoE) and statistical analysis.
• Hands-on experience in a laboratory or pilot plant setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with various chemical reaction and separation technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote collaboration.
