Childminder Assistant - Part-Time

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and caring Childminder Assistant to support their established childcare service in Milton Keynes . This role is crucial in assisting the lead childminder with the daily care and education of a small group of children. You will be involved in planning and leading stimulating activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and contributing to the overall positive experience for the children. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early years development to gain valuable experience in a supportive, hands-on setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the registered childminder in providing high-quality care for children aged 0-5.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities, including crafts, stories, and outdoor play.
• Ensure a safe, stimulating, and hygienic environment for all children.
• Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through positive interactions.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding routines.
• Maintain accurate daily records and communicate effectively with parents.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a childcare setting.
• A genuine passion for early years education and child development.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
• A willingness to undertake further training, such as Paediatric First Aid.
