About the Role

Our client is looking for a nurturing and reliable Childminder to join their family in Newcastle upon Tyne . This hybrid role offers a blend of in-home care and the flexibility to integrate with the family's dynamic schedule. You will be instrumental in providing a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for the children, focusing on their developmental milestones and daily routines. This position requires a dedicated individual who can build strong relationships with both the children and parents, contributing positively to the child's upbringing and providing dependable support to the household. The role involves active engagement in play, learning, and daily care activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for children in a safe and nurturing home environment.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding schedules for the children.
• Maintain a clean and organized play and living space for the children.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and child protection policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Childminder or in a similar childcare capacity.
• Relevant childcare qualifications or certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Children's Learning and Development).
• Excellent knowledge of child development and age-appropriate care.
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with parents in a hybrid arrangement.
• A valid first aid certificate and a clear enhanced DBS check are mandatory.
