Job Description
Children’s Residential Support Worker - Thamesmead, Greenwich
We are recruiting 2 Children’s Residential Support Workers for an established 2-bed EBD children’s home in Thamesmead, Greenwich.
The home is currently Ofsted registered and rated Good, with one young person currently in placement.
We are looking for experienced Support Workers who understand the importance of consistency, relationship-based care and working in a trauma-informed way with children and young people.
What we are looking for
- At least 1 year of experience working in a children’s residential home
- An understanding of PACE
- An understanding of trauma-informed approaches
- A calm, consistent and child-centred approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Confidence building positive and appropriate relationships with young people
- A full UK driving licence is preferred
Training and support
- Enrolment onto a Level 4 qualification through the apprenticeship route
- Monthly clinical supervision
- Ongoing support and development within an established residential service
Shift pattern
- Day: 7:00am–7:00pm
- Night: 7:00pm–7:00am
- Sleep-in: 7:00pm–11:00pm, sleep-in, then 7:00am start
Pay
- £14.00–£16.00 per hour, depending on experience
- £65 per sleep-in
