Civil Engineer - Structural Design

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with a strong background in structural design to join their team in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This role involves the design and analysis of a wide range of structures, from commercial buildings to industrial facilities and infrastructure elements. You will work closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to deliver safe, efficient, and innovative structural solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for concrete, steel, masonry, and timber structures using advanced software.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and design calculations for construction.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and other engineers to develop optimal structural solutions.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and health and safety regulations.
• Review structural designs and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer, ETABS).
• Solid understanding of structural engineering principles, materials, and construction practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
