About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their well-established team in Sheffield . This role involves the design and implementation of essential infrastructure projects, including drainage systems, highways, and utilities, contributing to the development and improvement of local communities. You will work in a collaborative hybrid environment, engaging with clients, contractors, and other design professionals to deliver robust and sustainable engineering solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to expand their experience in infrastructure development within a supportive and progressive company.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop plans for infrastructure projects such as roads, sewers, and public realm works.
Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform project planning.
Ensure designs meet all regulatory requirements, including building regulations and environmental standards.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project delivery from inception to completion.
Provide technical advice and support to clients and construction teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil infrastructure design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant drainage design software (e.g., MicroDrainage).
Good understanding of UK infrastructure standards and planning processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a hybrid working model.
