About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their vibrant engineering team in Bristol, South West England . This role focuses on the design and development of essential infrastructure, including highways, drainage, and utilities for a range of exciting projects. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop civil infrastructure elements such as roads, drainage systems, and site layouts for development projects.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports using industry-standard software.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and site appraisals to inform design decisions.
- Coordinate effectively with other engineering disciplines, architects, planners, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant UK regulations, standards, and best practices, including highway and environmental legislation.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and support the procurement process.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in civil engineering design, with a focus on infrastructure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant drainage design software (e.g., MicroDrainage).
- Good understanding of highway design standards (e.g., DMRB), S104/S38/S278 agreements.
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
