About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their established team in Brighton . This role focuses on the design and delivery of sustainable infrastructure solutions for a variety of development projects, including residential, commercial, and public spaces. You will be involved in all stages of the design process, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design and construction support, working within a collaborative office environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer keen to contribute to the growth and development of the South East region, working on projects that enhance the local community and environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop infrastructure elements such as drainage systems, road layouts, earthworks, and public realm spaces.
- Prepare technical drawings, reports, and specifications using industry-standard CAD and modelling software.
- Conduct site visits, surveys, and feasibility studies to assess site conditions and project requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant UK planning policies, building regulations, and environmental standards.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, utility providers, and contractors to facilitate smooth project progression.
- Provide technical support and site supervision during the construction phase of projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Typically 3-6 years of experience in civil infrastructure design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or other relevant design software.
- Understanding of SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) design principles and practices.
- Good knowledge of UK highway design standards and planning regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
