About the Role
Our client seeks a diligent Civil Project Engineer to oversee the planning and execution of site development projects in Wolverhampton . This role involves managing all aspects of civil engineering works from initial concept through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will liaise closely with contractors, clients, and local authorities, acting as the primary technical point of contact on-site. This is a hands-on role for an individual with strong project management and technical civil engineering skills, looking to contribute to impactful development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the design and implementation of site development works, including earthworks, drainage, and infrastructure.
- Oversee site construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Conduct site inspections, progress meetings, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Review contractor submissions, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and site teams.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in project engineering or site management for civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site management practices.
- Familiarity with relevant UK regulations, including CDM, and quality assurance systems.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
