Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop transportation infrastructure, including roads, junctions, and traffic management systems.
- Conduct traffic modelling, analysis, and demand forecasting using specialised software.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports for transportation projects.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant UK highway standards (e.g., DMRB) and local authority requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including urban planners and environmental consultants.
- Assist in the tender process, site supervision, and contract administration for transportation schemes.
Requirements
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a transportation-related field.
- Proven experience in transportation engineering design and project delivery.
- Proficiency in traffic modelling software (e.g., VISSIM, SIDRA) and CAD software .
- Strong understanding of highway design principles, traffic flow theory, and network analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of sustainable transport initiatives is a plus for this role in Oxford .
