About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Cloud Solutions Architect to join their team in Plymouth . You will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of cutting-edge cloud solutions that meet the strategic objectives of the business. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud platforms, architecture best practices, and the ability to translate complex business needs into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments. You will work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to drive cloud adoption and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services and technologies to meet project and business requirements.
- Develop technical roadmaps and strategies for cloud adoption and migration.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation and integration of cloud solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud best practices, cost optimization, and security.
- Assess current infrastructure and recommend improvements for cloud readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 3 years focused on cloud architecture .
- Proven experience designing and deploying solutions on major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, databases, and compute services.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
