Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Banking Manager to lead their branch operations in Norwich . This leadership role is responsible for driving business growth, managing a team of banking professionals, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to commercial clients. You will play a key part in developing strategic initiatives, managing loan portfolios, and fostering strong client relationships within the local business community. This position is essential for strengthening our client's presence in the banking and finance sector in Norfolk.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of relationship managers and banking staff to achieve performance targets.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to increase market share and profitability in the Norwich area.
- Manage a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for cross-selling services.
- Oversee the underwriting and approval process for commercial loans, ensuring sound risk management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, community leaders, and industry partners.
- Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial banking, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Proven track record in business development, loan origination, and portfolio management.
- Strong understanding of commercial lending, financial analysis, and risk assessment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
