Commercial Banking Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a results-oriented and experienced Commercial Banking Manager to lead their business banking operations in Wolverhampton . You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial clients, driving new business development, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial finance products and a passion for building strong client relationships. As a key leader in the local market, you will contribute significantly to the growth and success of the bank's commercial division within the West Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial banking clients, understanding their financial needs and objectives.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and proactive outreach.
• Analyze financial information to assess credit risk and structure appropriate lending solutions.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on a range of commercial banking products, including loans, deposits, and treasury services.
• Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and mentor a team of banking professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in commercial banking, relationship management, or business development within the financial services industry.
• Proven track record in new business generation and portfolio management.
• Strong understanding of commercial lending, credit analysis, and risk assessment principles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership experience and the ability to motivate a team in the Wolverhampton area.
