Commercial Systems Installation Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Systems Installation Technician to join their expanding team. This role is primarily responsible for the remote planning, configuration, and support of various commercial systems, including IT infrastructure, security systems, and AV solutions. While the role is predominantly remote , there may be occasional requirements for on-site visits for complex installations or critical support needs. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with exceptional technical acumen and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will play a key part in ensuring the seamless deployment and operation of essential systems for our diverse commercial clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Remotely plan and configure hardware and software for commercial IT, security, and AV systems.
• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for installed systems.
• Develop installation guides and standard operating procedures for complex system deployments.
• Collaborate with clients and project managers to define system requirements and scope.
• Conduct remote system testing and validation before client hand-off.
• Manage inventory and logistics for system components required for installation projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience in installing and configuring commercial systems, such as network infrastructure, CCTV, access control, or audio-visual equipment.
• Strong understanding of IT networking principles and hardware.
• Proficiency with remote management and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Good communication and documentation skills, capable of explaining technical details clearly.
• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Crestron, Cisco) are a plus.
