About the Role
Our client, a reputable charitable foundation , is seeking a dynamic Community Outreach Coordinator to join their team in Birmingham . This role is instrumental in building strong relationships within the local community, raising awareness of our client's services, and recruiting volunteers. You will be the face of the organization in various community settings, fostering partnerships with local businesses, schools, and other non-profits to expand our client's reach and impact. This hybrid position offers a fantastic opportunity to engage directly with the community and contribute to meaningful social change.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community outreach programs and events to promote our client's mission and services.
- Identify and build strong relationships with community leaders, local businesses, schools, and other relevant organizations.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for various programs and events.
- Represent the organization at community fairs, meetings, and other public engagements.
- Collect feedback from the community to inform program development and service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and volunteer participation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in community outreach, volunteer management, or a related field, preferably within the charity sector .
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of people.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Experience in public speaking and delivering presentations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours when required.
