About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and engaging Community Outreach Coordinator to join their team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role involves building bridges between the charity and the local community, fostering stronger relationships and increasing engagement with our services. You will be responsible for planning and executing outreach initiatives, engaging with diverse community groups, and raising awareness of the charity's vital work. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote work flexibility and essential in-person community engagement, providing a dynamic and rewarding career path.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective community outreach strategies to increase awareness and participation in charity programs.
Organise and facilitate community events, workshops, and information sessions, both virtually and in-person.
Build and maintain relationships with local community groups, schools, businesses, and other stakeholders.
Create engaging outreach materials, including flyers, social media content, and presentations.
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support outreach activities.
Represent the charity at community functions and local events, acting as a key point of contact.

Requirements

Proven experience in community engagement, outreach, or a related field.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
Strong organisational and event planning abilities, with a focus on detail.
Experience in developing promotional materials and utilising social media for outreach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively in a hybrid setting.
A passion for community development and supporting charitable causes.
