This vital role involves working with local communities, schools, and sports clubs to create and deliver accessible sports programmes. You will be instrumental in increasing participation rates, promoting healthy lifestyles, and building strong relationships with diverse community groups. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement community-based sports development programmes and initiatives.
- Engage with local schools, community centres, and sports clubs to identify needs and opportunities.
- Organize and deliver sports coaching sessions and events for various age groups and abilities.
- Promote healthy lifestyles and the benefits of physical activity within the community.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities and funding bodies.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of programmes, reporting on outcomes and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Experience in sports development, coaching, or community engagement.
- A relevant qualification in Sports Development, Coaching, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse community groups and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
