About the Role
Our client is searching for a creative and technically adept Computer Vision Engineer to join their innovative R&D team in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be instrumental in developing sophisticated algorithms and systems that enable machines to 'see' and interpret visual information from the world. This role involves hands-on development, from data collection and annotation to model training and real-world deployment of computer vision applications. You'll work on exciting projects that have tangible outcomes, contributing to advancements in fields such as robotics, autonomous systems, and augmented reality, all within a dedicated on-site team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, train, and deploy deep learning models for image recognition, object detection, and segmentation.
- Implement and optimize computer vision algorithms for real-time performance.
- Work with large datasets of images and videos, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate vision systems into products.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in computer vision and deep learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on computer vision.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in computer vision and deep learning.
- Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).
- Experience with image processing techniques and camera calibration.
- Strong understanding of 3D vision, SLAM, or object tracking is a plus.
