About the Role

Our client is seeking a charismatic and resourceful Concierge to enhance the guest experience at their upscale hotel in Reading . As the go-to person for guest requests, you will be responsible for providing personalized recommendations and arrangements, from dining reservations and transportation to local attractions and entertainment. Your local knowledge and impeccable service standards will be key to creating memorable stays for all visitors. This role is integral to upholding the reputation of our client as a premier hospitality provider in Berkshire .

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a warm and professional welcome to guests, acting as the primary point of contact for inquiries and requests.
• Assist guests with a wide range of services, including restaurant reservations, tour bookings, transportation arrangements, and event tickets.
• Offer informed recommendations on local attractions, activities, and dining based on guest preferences.
• Handle guest complaints and special requests efficiently and courteously.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of hotel services, local events, and area attractions.
• Liaise with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery for guests.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Concierge or guest services role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Extensive knowledge of the local area, including restaurants, attractions, and events in and around Reading .
• A polished and professional appearance and demeanor.
• Proficiency in using reservation systems and online resources.
• Ability to anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations.
