Key Responsibilities

• Undertake surveys and condition assessments of historic buildings.
• Develop conservation strategies and detailed repair proposals for heritage assets.

• Liaise with heritage bodies, such as Historic England, and local planning authorities.
• Oversee conservation projects on-site, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and material use.

Requirements

• Qualified Architect with significant experience in historic building conservation .
• In-depth understanding of historic building materials, construction techniques, and conservation philosophy.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance pertaining to heritage properties.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ideally experience with heritage assessment tools.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
