About the Role

You will work on a variety of listed buildings and heritage assets, collaborating with heritage bodies, clients, and contractors to ensure best practices in conservation. Key Responsibilities

• Undertake condition surveys and produce conservation reports for historic buildings.
• Develop repair and restoration strategies in line with conservation best practices.
• Prepare design proposals, specifications, and tender documents for conservation projects.
• Manage projects on site, overseeing works to historic fabric and ensuring quality control.
• Liaise with statutory bodies such as Historic England and local planning authorities.

Requirements

• Qualified Architect with demonstrable experience in historic building conservation .
• Thorough understanding of conservation philosophy, techniques, and materials.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance pertaining to historic buildings.
• Proficiency in architectural drawing and documentation, with an understanding of traditional building methods.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
