Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous Construction Planner to join their team in Glasgow . This role is vital for the successful scheduling and coordination of complex construction projects. You will be responsible for developing detailed project plans, timelines, and resource schedules, ensuring all project phases are integrated effectively and potential conflicts are identified and resolved proactively. Working closely with project managers and site teams, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient project delivery and timely completion, contributing to the ongoing success of a firm known for its project execution excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using planning software such as Primavera P6 or Asta PowerProject.
• Create detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) and program of works.
• Identify critical path activities and potential project risks that could impact timelines.
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to gather progress updates.
• Prepare regular progress reports and program updates for management and clients.
• Support the bid team in developing tender programs and methodologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Senior Planner.
• Proficiency in project planning software (e.g., Primavera P6 , Asta PowerProject).
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequences.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse project teams.
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
