Construction Site Supervisor - Industrial Facilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee the construction and maintenance of industrial facilities in and around Glasgow . This hands-on role requires ensuring that all construction activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and building codes. You will be the eyes and ears on the ground, responsible for monitoring progress, managing labour, and upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. This is a vital position for maintaining the operational integrity of industrial sites in the Glasgow area.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities, ensuring work is carried out according to plans and schedules.
• Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Monitor the quality of workmanship and materials used by contractors and direct labour.
• Coordinate the work of different trades and subcontractors to ensure seamless progress.
• Maintain site records, including daily reports, incident logs, and material requisitions.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks with site personnel.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Foreman in industrial construction or maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Relevant certifications such as a CSCS card and ideally a supervisory qualification (e.g., SSSTS).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
