About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Control Systems Engineer to enhance their team based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK . Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and commission PLC-based control systems for industrial machinery and processes.
- Create and maintain HMI/SCADA systems for effective process monitoring and operator interaction.
- Perform system diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve complex control system issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to integrate control solutions into larger systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, such as IEC 61508 , and industry-specific regulations.
- Optimise existing control strategies to improve performance, efficiency, and reduce downtime.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing industrial control systems .
- Proficiency in programming various PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens S7, Rockwell ControlLogix) and HMI/SCADA software.
- Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Experience with motion control and servo systems is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
