Cybersecurity Threat Hunter

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Cybersecurity Threat Hunter to join their dedicated security operations center in Coventry . In this critical role, you will proactively search for advanced cyber threats that may have evaded existing security controls. Leveraging threat intelligence and advanced analytical techniques, you will identify sophisticated adversaries and develop strategies to mitigate their impact. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute proactive threat hunting methodologies to uncover sophisticated threats.
• Analyze large datasets from various security tools to identify Indicators of Compromise (IoCs) and TTPs.
• Utilize threat intelligence feeds and frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK) to guide hunting activities.
• Develop detection rules, scripts, and tools to automate threat hunting processes.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to analyze findings and enhance overall security posture.
• Document hunting findings, methodologies, and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in threat hunting, incident response, or advanced security analysis.
• Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, network forensics, and malware analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security controls.
