About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Dairy Farm Manager to lead operations at their modern dairy farm located in Derby, Derbyshire . This role involves the comprehensive management of all aspects of dairy farming, including herd health, nutrition, breeding programs, milking operations, and staff supervision. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily milking operations, ensuring high standards of hygiene and milk quality.
• Manage herd health and welfare programs, including vaccination, disease prevention, and treatment protocols.
• Develop and implement effective feeding strategies to optimize milk production and animal health.
• Manage breeding programs to improve herd genetics and reproductive efficiency.
• Supervise and train farm staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of milk production, herd health, breeding, and financial performance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in dairy farm management or a similar supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of dairy cow nutrition, health, and reproduction.
