About the Role
Our client is looking for an analytical and forward-thinking Distribution Network Analyst to join their fully remote team. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for evaluating and optimizing the company's distribution network to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels. You will leverage data modeling and analysis to identify opportunities for network design improvements, including warehouse locations, transportation routes, and inventory placement. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze the performance of the current distribution network , identifying areas for improvement in cost, speed, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain models to simulate different network configurations and evaluate their impact.
- Recommend optimal locations for warehouses and distribution centers based on market analysis and logistical factors.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to implement network design changes.
- Evaluate transportation costs and identify opportunities for optimization through network adjustments.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in network design and logistics optimization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in network analysis , supply chain design, or logistics planning.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with expertise in data modeling and simulation tools.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and ideally specialized network design software (e.g., Llamasoft, AnyLogic).
- Excellent understanding of logistics , warehousing, and transportation principles.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
