About the Role
Our client is seeking a vigilant and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join their dedicated security team in Brighton . You will be at the forefront of protecting the company's digital assets by monitoring security systems, detecting threats, and responding to incidents. This role requires a deep understanding of current cybersecurity threats, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to act decisively under pressure. You will play a vital role in maintaining the security posture of the organization and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This is a critical, office-based position.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM and other security tools to detect and investigate potential threats.
- Respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing remediation plans.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security weaknesses.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, providing expert guidance.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or security analysis.
- Proven experience with SIEM tools, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS), and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
- Strong understanding of network security, cryptography, risk management, and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GCIH are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for an office-based role in Brighton .
