Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and manage optical transport networks , including DWDM, OTN, and Ethernet.
• Perform network planning, capacity management, and traffic engineering for optical infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex optical network issues, ensuring minimal service interruption.
• Develop and implement network monitoring strategies for optical systems.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on new technology trials and deployments.
• Maintain accurate network documentation and configuration records.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Optical Network Engineer or in a similar role within the telecoms industry.
• Strong knowledge of optical transmission technologies, including amplifiers, multiplexers, and transceivers.
• Familiarity with network management systems and optical network simulators.
• Experience with fibre optic testing equipment and techniques.
• Relevant degree or HND in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
