Drilling Supervisor - Exploration

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Drilling Supervisor to manage exploration drilling operations in the Reading area. You will oversee daily drilling activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality data collection from drill core and samples. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a practical understanding of various drilling techniques and equipment used in mineral exploration. You will be responsible for coordinating drilling crews, managing site logistics, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets for operations in Berkshire .

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of drilling crews and contractors.
• Ensure all drilling operations are conducted safely and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Monitor drilling progress, equipment performance, and geological data acquisition.
• Manage drill site logistics, including equipment maintenance, consumables, and waste disposal.
• Liaise with geologists to ensure proper core logging, sampling, and storage procedures are followed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Drilling Supervisor or Foreman in mineral exploration.
• Strong knowledge of various exploration drilling methods (e.g., RC, diamond drilling).
• Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures on exploration sites.
• Ability to work effectively in remote or challenging field conditions.
