About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient E-commerce SEO Specialist to drive organic traffic and improve search engine rankings for their online store. Based in Plymouth , this role requires a deep understanding of search engine algorithms and best practices tailored for e-commerce environments. You will be responsible for conducting keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO audits, and link-building strategies to enhance visibility and directly contribute to increased online sales and customer acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough keyword research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for organic growth.
- Optimize website content, product pages, and category pages for relevant search terms.
- Perform technical SEO audits and implement fixes to improve site crawlability, indexability, and mobile-friendliness.
- Develop and execute a strategic link-building plan to enhance domain authority.
- Monitor website performance using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console, providing regular reports on key SEO metrics.
- Stay abreast of the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices, adapting strategies accordingly.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in SEO, with a significant focus on e-commerce websites.
- Proven track record of improving organic search rankings and traffic for online stores.
- In-depth knowledge of SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
- Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO principles.
- Experience with website analytics and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO is advantageous.
