Early Years Educator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and qualified Early Years Educator to join their dedicated team at a popular nursery in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will play a crucial role in providing a stimulating and nurturing environment for young children, supporting their learning and development through play-based activities. This position requires a compassionate individual with a genuine love for working with children and a commitment to fostering their early educational journey. You will work closely with a supportive team to ensure a safe, inclusive, and enriching experience for every child in your care, contributing to the nursery's reputation for excellence in childcare .

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children.
• Observe and record children's progress, providing constructive feedback to parents and colleagues.
• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children under your supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating learning environment.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
• Assist with meal times, nappy changes, and other personal care needs as required.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
• Experience working with children aged 0-5 is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude towards children's development.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy childcare setting.
