About the Role
Our client seeks a passionate and nurturing Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher for a well-established primary school located in Leeds . This role is dedicated to providing a stimulating and safe environment for young children, focusing on holistic development through play-based learning. You will be responsible for guiding children through their crucial early educational journey, fostering their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. The successful candidate will be committed to creating a positive and inclusive classroom experience, working closely with parents and the wider school community to ensure the best possible start for every child.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a creative and engaging EYFS curriculum, meeting the learning and development needs of young children.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, using appropriate methods and contributing to their individual learning journeys.
- Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Promote positive behaviour and social interaction among children.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers, encouraging their involvement in their child's learning.
- Ensure compliance with statutory frameworks and safeguarding policies within the Early Years Foundation Stage .
Requirements
- Recognised early years qualification, such as a Cache Level 3 or equivalent, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience working within the EYFS framework.
- A deep understanding of child development and effective early years pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with young children and their families.
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to high-quality provision.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and policies relevant to early years settings.
