Early Years Practitioner - Nursery

Our client requires a dynamic and qualified Early Years Practitioner to join a reputable nursery in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role focuses on fostering a stimulating and safe learning environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will work as part of a dedicated team, delivering high-quality early education programs and ensuring every child receives individual attention. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging, play-based learning activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Observe, monitor, and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and learning journeys.
• Ensure a safe, hygienic, and stimulating environment, adhering to all nursery policies and procedures.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with children, parents, and guardians.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of childcare services.
• Support children's emotional well-being and provide guidance during challenging behaviour.

Requirements

• Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or a related field.
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
