Early Years Practitioner - Playgroup

About the Role

Our client, a well-established playgroup in Plymouth , seeks a vibrant and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their team. This part-time role focuses on creating a positive and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early learning and social development. You will work collaboratively to provide high-quality care, fostering a sense of fun and exploration in line with the EYFS framework. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities for young children.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating play environment.
• Observe and record children's progress, identifying areas for support and development.
• Support children's physical, social, and emotional well-being.
• Communicate with parents and carers about their child's experiences and progress.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the playgroup setting and resources.

Requirements

• A minimum of Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Playwork.
• Experience working with young children in a playgroup or nursery setting is desirable.
• Understanding of basic child development principles.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and as part of a small team.
• A passion for early years education and commitment to child welfare.
