Early Years Practitioner

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join their vibrant nursery in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will play a crucial role in providing a stimulating and supportive environment for young children, facilitating their learning and development through play-based activities. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a variety of engaging activities that support children's learning and development across all areas of the EYFS.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, identifying any individual needs or areas for support.
• Provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for all children, adhering to safeguarding policies.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with children, parents, and guardians, fostering open communication.
• Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to the smooth running of the nursery day.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for assigned children, including developmental progress.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
• Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• A genuine passion for childcare and child development.
