About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Design and Development Engineer to join their progressive team in Brighton . This role is critical for the innovation and improvement of electrical products and systems. You will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to development, testing, and production support. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and prototype new electrical systems and components.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for potential new products or features.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, schematics , and test procedures.
- Perform rigorous testing and validation of electrical designs to ensure performance, reliability, and safety.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are suitable for mass production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues encountered during development or production phases.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven experience (6+ years) in electrical product design and development.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
- Proficiency in using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
- Experience with PCB design tools is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
