About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and meticulous Civil Design Technician to support their engineering team in Brighton . This role focuses on the production of high-quality technical drawings and documentation required for various civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, drainage, and site development. You will work closely with Civil Engineers to translate design concepts into accurate, compliant, and constructible plans. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician with strong CAD skills to contribute to exciting projects within the vibrant coastal city of Brighton and assist in shaping its future developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed engineering drawings, plans, sections, and elevations using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Assist in the preparation of design documentation, including reports, specifications, and schedules.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, client requirements, and relevant UK regulations.
- Support engineers in site investigations and the preparation of existing condition surveys.
- Maintain accurate and organised drawing registers and project files.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to deliver project outputs efficiently.
Requirements
- HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Civil Design Technician, with strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with drafting standards and practices within the civil engineering sector.
- Understanding of basic civil engineering principles, such as drainage, earthworks, and highways.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawing production.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
