Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical schematics, control panels, and system architectures using CAD software.
- Select appropriate electrical components, materials, and equipment, ensuring they meet project specifications and budget constraints.
- Perform electrical calculations, including power, voltage drop, and short circuit analysis.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure smooth production and resolve design-related issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant HND/HNC qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of relevant UK and international electrical standards and safety regulations.
- Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous approach to detail.
