About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with a specialization in Power Systems to join their expanding team, supporting operations remotely across the UK. This role focuses on the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical infrastructure for energy generation and distribution projects. You will leverage your expertise to ensure the stability, reliability, and efficiency of power grids, working on cutting-edge technology and contributing to the national energy transition. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for power generation, transmission, and distribution networks.
- Perform power system studies, including load flow, fault analysis, and stability analysis.
- Develop technical specifications, single-line diagrams, and control system designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including civil engineers and project managers, on project design and execution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical engineering issues in operational power systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in power system design and analysis.
- Proficiency with power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
- Strong knowledge of grid codes, protection schemes, and substation design.
- Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills.
