About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Project Engineer to manage and execute various electrical projects in Leeds . This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and final handover, liaising with internal teams and external contractors. This is a key position within our project delivery unit, contributing to significant infrastructural developments in the Leeds region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of electrical engineering projects.
- Coordinate with design teams, procurement, and construction crews to ensure seamless project flow.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all project activities comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
- Prepare project documentation, including progress reports, cost estimates, and technical specifications.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project engineering or project management within the electrical sector.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PRINCE2, MS Project).
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote tasks.
