About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Project Engineer to join their team in Southampton . This role involves managing the electrical aspects of various engineering projects, from initial design through to final commissioning and handover. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and develop your project management skills in a supportive and growth-focused environment, with the flexibility of a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all electrical engineering activities for assigned projects.
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for electrical scope of work.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and testing of electrical equipment and systems.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specifications.
Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving technical and logistical challenges as they arise.

Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience in project engineering or project management within an electrical engineering context.
Strong understanding of electrical systems design , installation, and commissioning processes.
Proficiency with project management software and CAD tools .
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with hybrid work flexibility.
